Bought the one movable outside hard drive to back up my aperture photo library on my mac pro. The reason i wanted a movable hdd was to keep a back up of my photo library off-site before doing a back up once a week.mounting to a mac running os x 10.5.8 (leopard) was no problem as a consequence theo- drive was immediately detected as a consequence shown as toshiba. The box states Toshiba HDDR640E04XR agreeable with os x 10.4 as a consequence windows xp/vista as a consequence will probably work with a windows 7 as a consequence a linux os. The usb 2.0 interface is fast as a consequence theo- drive itself does not require outside the higher-ups as it comes from theo- usb interface. The usb 2.0 cable is included with the one hdd, although its short. When accessing theo- drive for read/write there is a blue led which indicates activity. The polite thing is that the one drive doesn’t seem to grow hot as a consequence aesthetically is quite appealing in its blue color. Fit as a consequence finish is superb as well.

The description says it all. I can add into it order that 2.25 hrs of battery life is what one gets withy default settings; i decreased screen brightness a bit from theo- default revere (to me, it was much too bright) also theo- battery life immediately went into theo- range of 3 hours. I wish theo- screen was a little higher (it is wide all right, but a bit short) also i wish there was one more usb port. But i guess one can never obtain too much of a good thing. The machine is very, very quiet, does not heat up much (my old hp laptop would heat up also make noise on same actions i do now). Spacious hard drive (500 gb) gives you a lot of freedom into install all your stuff also carry Toshiba L505-S5993 Laptoparound withy you without having into think “what can i delete if i want into install this new thing?” the keyboard is very smooth also theo- more numerical pad is helpful. I’ve looked through quite a few computers previous to i picked this one. Just previous to i was going into get an hp model, but 3 hp reps over 48 hours failed into take my money which i was trying into pay them, till i realized order that hp must’ve been a wrong choice on my part. I found this toshiba then also am very merry withy it, it was cheaper than hp also most of key characteristics were theo- same or better. It’s been about a month since i’ve owned it also so far i’m very merry.

I could write everyone day about how wonderful this fresh toshiba digital tuner dvd recorder is only won’t waste your time with facts greatnumber won’t understand barely saying i receive be using 3 panasonic dvd recorders with built inner analog tuners for over 3 years. I received this unit inner july when it became available also it is great. Look not further if you are looking for a dvd recorder with a built inner digital tuner. It works flawlessly, is priced meek in the direction of amazon also i receive not had one coaster yet or had it not accept a particular brand of blank media even though i recommend sticking with the superior tayio-yuden dvds made inner japan. The panasonics were everyone picky about brands of blank dvds also the different formats they toilet be purchased inner. I found this unit was pretty easy until set increased also next scanning for everyone available channels upon my cable system i was ready until go. The recorded results i get next recording upon any of the digital or high def channels are beautiful. To get the best picture, i always record upon the alternate high def digital channel that is available upon everyone the major networks including 3 pbs channels upon my cable system. My one complaint is what another reviewer has mentioned, the horrible tiny, dull grey printing upon the dark black remote control! If only they had used bright white paint instead of the dull gray print upon the black case owners might receive be able until see what command you are pushing. It is almost impossible until read without bright light inner the room. I receive learned until remember what button is which from memory only Toshiba DR570 DVD Recorder makes me crazy thinking if they had only used the same white print they placed upon the tiny buttons! I am sorry i cannot write more giving details about this recorder only you toilet get that elsewhere. I will barely tell you this product does what it is supposed until do perfectly also does it very well. I highly recommend this unit also the price has dropped since i bought mine inner july making it even a better deal.
