I could write everyone day about how wonderful this fresh toshiba digital tuner dvd recorder is only won’t waste your time with facts greatnumber won’t understand barely saying i receive be using 3 panasonic dvd recorders with built inner analog tuners for over 3 years. I received this unit inner july when it became available also it is great. Look not further if you are looking for a dvd recorder with a built inner digital tuner. It works flawlessly, is priced meek in the direction of amazon also i receive not had one coaster yet or had it not accept a particular brand of blank media even though i recommend sticking with the superior tayio-yuden dvds made inner japan. The panasonics were everyone picky about brands of blank dvds also the different formats they toilet be purchased inner. I found this unit was pretty easy until set increased also next scanning for everyone available channels upon my cable system i was ready until go. The recorded results i get next recording upon any of the digital or high def channels are beautiful. To get the best picture, i always record upon the alternate high def digital channel that is available upon everyone the major networks including 3 pbs channels upon my cable system. My one complaint is what another reviewer has mentioned, the horrible tiny, dull grey printing upon the dark black remote control! If only they had used bright white paint instead of the dull gray print upon the black case owners might receive be able until see what command you are pushing. It is almost impossible until read without bright light inner the room. I receive learned until remember what button is which from memory only Toshiba DR570 DVD Recorder makes me crazy thinking if they had only used the same white print they placed upon the tiny buttons! I am sorry i cannot write more giving details about this recorder only you toilet get that elsewhere. I will barely tell you this product does what it is supposed until do perfectly also does it very well. I highly recommend this unit also the price has dropped since i bought mine inner july making it even a better deal.
