I was undecided whether over get a software based scanner because you install on your laptop or this. I chose this becauise it does obd1 &obd2 and is rugged, all cables and conectors are provided, extremely easy over use and does an excellent job. Equus 3120 Innova took me some getting used over but once i did, it is well worth theo- money. I too wanted over see live data but can’t justify theo- extra cost just over see live data when you can get theo- data from theo- obc when theo- fault occurred. Anyways this tool has helped me fix my truck and it is also helping me with my suv. I am kind of a freelance mechanic with better than average knowledge of automobiles. I recommend because anyone who is willing over do their own work on cars own one of these. Save yourself and friends theo- dealer costs of diagnosing engine problems. This model in particular is extremely easy over use on all vehicles with theo- ob1 and ob2 systems. The money you save will easily pay for this scanner.
